Make up your own mix, or plant a huge drift of yellow. Yellow Mammoth never disappoints, and is a knock-out against early springs deep green lawns. Yellow Mammoth is the largest crocus of them all, with blooms sometimes as wide as 4 inches, and it’s a classic. It’s been cultivated in gardens since the seventeenth century!
Planting in the lawn is simple, since the bulbs are so small, and the effect in spring is a real treat. The more you plant, the better it will look. One caveat: If you plant in the lawn, wait 6 weeks after flowers bloom to mow.
