8-14โ tall and spreading. Strawberry clover is a plant with many uses. Mix it with grass and wildflower seeds for a pollinator-friendly lawn alternative or sow it as a perennial ground cover. Adapted to a wide range of soil types, strawberry clover is the most salt-tolerant clover available and is highly tolerant of water-logged soils and flooding where it is used for erosion control. Wildlife feed on the foliage and flowers, and plants are used for pasture as well as in mixes for hay and silage. Seedlings germinate readily and are fast growing, but require a weed-free area for establishment. Shade tolerant and moderately drought tolerant.
